ULTA SCHOOL: A Social Initiative for the Elderly
A 70-year-old senior educationist lives alone in Raipur. With children settled abroad and spouse deceased, one might expect her to be lonely and bored.
Not at all. She is a perfect Perennial.
She keeps herself happy by working as Director Emeritus of a school. She reads books and plans to take online singing classes soon. She looks forward to a counseling service for elders.
Let's call her ‘Goldie’
A 62-year-old retired professional lives with his family in Jaipur. At this age, one might expect him to have a serious, neat look with a sombre demeanor.
Far from it. He is a real Perennial. Wearing shoulder-length hair and a trendy jacket, he keeps himself engaged by performing theatre and writing poetry. He plans to travel when the times permit. He looks forward to having empathetic financial planners who could simplify money management for seniors.
Let us call him ‘Glowie’
For every enthusiastic Goldie and Glowie, there are plenty of seniors struggling with the advancing age.
Ulta School pledges to transform these confused, bored, retired, not working seniors into energetic, engaged and employable Perennials.
Ulta School brings out the stories of existing Perennials while transforming other 50+ year-olds into Perennials.
