Service Description
We witness ‘endings’ around us all the time but we do not consciously let it affect us. However, endings are real and beautiful too. This unique training program empowers participants to deal with fear, denial and grief around death. It provides a skillset to deal with mortal fear and anticipatory grief in order to wisely acknowledge and embrace the end. This is a program primarily meant for chronically and terminally ill patients and their families. Modules: • How to focus on wonder and wisdom, to make meaning not misery. • Learning the language of grief and gratitude. • Reconnecting with nature to put the end in perspective. • Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle • How to acknowledge and embrace death Learning Outcomes: This unheard-of training program will ignite the moral imagination of elders and would inspire them to be a part of a moral revolution – to give back more to the world than you take. The participants learn a new perspective about mortality. They learn the skill of ‘falling apart well’, to wrestle with suffering, not fight. They would awaken to the truth that death is active. Dying is not what happens to you. Dying is what you do.
