Resurrect: Career after 60

As healthy ageing is on a rise, communities, companies and countries need to understand the consequences of longevity. Since some pioneer modern elders are stretching their careers from 30-year sprints to 50-year marathons, this program would enable the senior lifers to resurrect a silver career from a variety of possible advanced age work models. It works for senior women too who might have missed having a stable first career due to family circumstances but are fully capable to build a second career late in life. Modules: • Pivoting Perennials – Stories that inspire • Career span and Lifespan • Work Models for Perennials • Stereotype Intervention Training to interrupt ageist biases • How not to be an ageist at work and help others do the same. Learning Outcomes: The senior elders would gather courage and conviction to plan new careers. They would learn the new vocabulary of becoming ‘menterns’ or ‘modern elders’ and would equip themselves with practises to stay curious, openminded and conscientious. The participants would call out ageism and ageist attitudes wherever they observe it. They would contribute in building a public understanding of agism and a roadmap to make the world a thriving place for seniors.
